Zillow Data Map — Listings Coloured by Valuation Gap

Every listing, coloured by how it's priced

A price map mostly redraws a map of which regions are expensive. This one defaults to colouring each listing by its asking price against Zillow’s own estimate, which shows something a price map structurally cannot — where sellers are asking above or below the platform’s number, independent of how costly the area is.

Points are drawn on a canvas layer rather than as clustered markers, so individual listings stay visible at every zoom — clustering would collapse exactly the per-listing colour this map is about. Rows with missing or null-island coordinates are dropped. The set is capped at 5,000 points and ordered by listing id, so it is a stable sample rather than a ranked one.
